pedagogy

My teaching philosophy is best captured by the words of bell hooks: “As a classroom community, our capacity to generate excitement is deeply affected by our interest in one another, in hearing one another’s voices, in recognizing one another’s presence.” This encapsulates my commitment to facilitating learning, building community, and providing unwavering support to my students. My approach to facilitation involves not only sharing knowledge but also engaging in meaningful dialogues with my students. Simultaneously, the principle of student support guides me to treat each student with respect and actively involve them in their learning journey. This philosophy is grounded in the fundamental belief that every individual has the inherent right to access education. Recognizing the uniqueness of each course and class, an instructor committed to facilitation and student support must remain open to continuous learning and evolution. Teaching, much like the ever-evolving craft of an artist, demands a dedication to improvement that persists throughout one’s career.
